La Pavoni Europiccola Lusso

The legendary Italian espresso machine La Pavoni Europiccola Lusso features the iconic 1961 design that never grows old.

This is a manual lever espresso machine equipped with a stainless-steel boiler with a capacity of 0.8 liters, allowing you to smoothly prepare up to 8 cups of delicious espresso in a row. The machine does not have a traditional water tank — the barista fills the boiler from the top. This clever solution gave rise to the original shape of the machine, which is characteristic of La Pavoni’s manual espresso makers.

The La Pavoni Europiccola Lusso heats up within 5 minutes after switching on and filling the boiler with water. Temperature control inside the boiler is regulated by a pressurestat.

The machine is also equipped with a Cool Touch steam wand, allowing you to prepare fluffy milk specialties such as cappuccino or caffè latte. Hot steam is generated in the upper section of the boiler, so the lower the water level, the more steam you can produce for frothing milk. However, the water level must never drop below the minimum.

Included in the package are a plastic tamper, portafilter, and single & double coffee filter baskets.

Compared to the Stradivari Lusso model, the Europiccola Lusso differs in the design of the brew head and lever, the placement of the main switch, and the material of the drip tray cover. The Stradivari Lusso features a metal cover, while the Europiccola Lusso uses a plastic one.

How the La Pavoni Europiccola Lusso Works

With the La Pavoni Europiccola Lusso, the entire coffee preparation process is almost fully manual — giving you complete control over the final result. After the water in the boiler heats up (the machine signals readiness by turning off the green indicator light below the main switch), you need to lift the lever into the upper position to allow water into the group head. You then start the extraction by pressing the lever downward. The preparation is visually impressive yet surprisingly simple.
